Why, in the name of the Creator of the Heavens and the Earth, is it that as one grows into early middle age it becomes increasingly inevitable that one leaves the shower with suds in at least one ear ?
Awareness of the phenomenon is of no value as a countervailing force of nature. No matter how you rinse and drain, the suds in one ear must remain. You can tip your head, hold it for an hour under a raging torrent from the shower head, and yet as you dry yourself on the bathmat the dreaded crackling of imploding suds will begin in the other ear.
Why ? Please tell me why.
